Current Issues

FEA and FSO both share the values of free high-quality public education and a robust labor movement. These causes are best advanced when FEA executes a strategic vision efficiently in its daily operations and practices as an employer what it preaches as an advocate. FEA and FSO work successfully to resolve issues on a day-to-day basis, through regular Labor-Management Committee meetings, and at the bargaining table. However, as we listen to the concerns of our members, FSO also identifies issues that arise over a longer time scale and which defy simple resolution. In this section of our site, we outline what these issues are and explore strategies FEA and FSO can jointly pursue to address them.
